Larry Johnson five children with four women

Larry Johnson five children with four women, According to Sports Illustrated, Larry Johnson of the Knicks is supporting five children by four women, including two he has with his wife, and Shawn Kemp of the Cavaliers, who is not married, has fathered seven children. Other NBA players who have been the subject of paternity-related lawsuits include Patrick Ewing, Juwan Howard, Scottie Pippen, Jason Kidd, Stephon Marbury, Hakeem Olajuwon and Gary Payton, as well as Larry Bird, who is now the coach of the Pacers, and current NBC game analyst Isiah Thomas.

In other sports, baseball’s Gary Sheffield and Juan Gonzalez, along with former greats Jim Palmer, Steve Garvey and Pete Rose, have been hit with paternity suits. The NFL names include Andre Rison and Alonzo Spellman; hockey, Mark Messier; boxing, Oscar de la Hoya; and tennis, Roscoe Tanner.

Sports Illustrated’s Sandy Bailey joins us to discuss the story.

Paul Crane: Sandy, before we lay this at the doorstep of athletes only, how much does this problem mirror that of society as a whole?

Sandy Bailey: I think it is a problem in society. As you pointed out, 32 percent of children in this country are born out of wedlock and that’s up tremendously–it was only 18 percent in 1980. So it is a problem in society but, by all the anecdotal evidence, it is an even greater problem in sports.

PC: And why is the incidence of this problem so much higher in the NBA than in other sports?

SB: That’s very hard to say. We suggested a few possible reasons. If the athletes view that there are a lot of women out there sort of looking for them, it’s certainly true that NBA athletes are much more identifiable than athletes in other sports. For one thing, they’re taller–these guys are 7-feet tall in many cases. They’re also athletes whose faces are very familiar to us; they don’t wear hats like baseball players, they don’t wear helmets like football players. They’re very visible. They have a lot of free time on their hands with their roadtrips and also their salaries are the highest. As far as exactly why, it’s very difficult to say.

PC: This should be such a private and personal issue–should we really care about the private lives of sports figures?

SB: Whether we should or shouldn’t, I think we do, in this country in particular, care very, very much about celebrities in general. And I do think that in these particular cases you’re talking about children–we’re trying to look at the impact that this has on their lives, we’re looking at the impact this has on the women involved and also the guys. In numerous cases we found, some of these activities reach a point where they impact the actual on-the-court, on-the-field performance. We talk about one NFL player, Dave Meggett–one of his paternity cases reached a point where the New England Patriots had to have one of their executives work with him and Meggett was served with papers before a game. You don’t think that impacts the team?

Larry King five children by three women, King has been married eight times, to seven different women. He married high-school sweetheart Freda Miller in 1951 at age 18. The union ended the following year at the behest of their parents, who reportedly had the marriage annulled. King was later briefly married to Annette Kaye who gave birth to his son, Larry Jr., in November 1961. King did not meet Larry Jr. until the son was in his thirties. Larry Jr. and his wife, Shannon, have three children.

In 1961, King married his third wife, Alene Akins, a Playboy bunny at one of the magazine’s eponymous nightclubs. The couple had a son Andy in 1962, and divorced the following year. In 1963, King married his fourth wife, Mary Francis “Mickey” Stuphin, who divorced King. He remarried Akins, with whom he had a second child, Chaia, in 1969. The couple divorced a second time in 1972. In 1997, Dove Books published a book written by King and Chaia, Daddy Day, Daughter Day. Aimed at young children, it tells each of their accounts of his divorce from Akins.

On September 25, 1976, King married his fifth wife, math teacher and production assistant Sharon Lepore. The couple divorced in 1983. In the mid-1980s King dated actress Angie Dickinson and even had her as a guest on his Mutual Radio broadcast.

King met businesswoman Julie Alexander in summer 1989, and proposed to her on the couple’s first date, on August 1, 1989. Alexander became King’s sixth wife on October 7, 1989, when the two were married in Washington, D.C. The couple lived in different cities, however, with Alexander in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and King in Washington, D.C., where he worked. The couple separated in 1990 and divorced in 1992. He became engaged to actress Deanna Lund in 1995, after five weeks of dating, but they never married.

In 1997, he married his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick, born in 1959 as Shawn Oro Engemann, a former singer and TV host, in King’s Los Angeles, California, hospital room three days before King underwent heart surgery to clear a clogged blood vessel. The couple has two children: Chance, born March 1999, and Cannon, born May 2000. He is stepfather to Danny Southwick. On King and Southwick’s 10th anniversary in September 2007, Southwick boasted she was “the only [wife] to have lasted into the two digits”. On April 14, 2010, both Larry and Shawn King filed for divorce, but have since stopped the proceedings.

In July 2009, King appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, where he told host O’Brien about his wishes to be cryonically preserved upon death, as he had revealed in his book My Remarkable Journey. In December 2011, preceding a CNN Special on the topic, the Kings had a special dinner with friends Conan O’Brien, Tyra Banks, Shaquille O’Neal, Seth MacFarlane, Jack Dorsey, Quincy Jones and Russell Brand where his intent to do so was reiterated, among other topics that were discussed.

Ray Lewis Six Children Four Different Women, Ray Lewis should not expect a retirement muffin basket from Anna Burns Welker.

Following her husband's defeat yesterday at the hands of Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens, Mrs. Welker took to Twitter and tore apart the future Hall of Famer, writing of the linebacker.reported

"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

Welker is referring to the fact that Lewis has six children by four different woman - and was charged with murder in 2000 for his role in a stabbing that resulted in two dead bodies.

As part of a plea deal, however, the charge was dropped and Lewis did not spend any time in jail.

Ironically, following New England's loss in last year's big game, Tom Brady's wife (Giselle... something or other) tore into Wes Welker for his dropping of a key four quarter pass.

Personal trash talk aside, who do you think will win the Super Bowl?

Lil Wayne Four Children Four Different Women

Lil Wayne Four Children Four Different Women, Lil Wayne’s allusion to Emmitt Till in his lyrics represents more than stupidity. It represents how normalized the culture of cruelty has become and how it wraps itself in a popular culture that is increasingly racist, misogynistic, and historically illiterate.

This is neoliberalism’s revenge on young people in that it elevates profits over justice and the practice of moral witnessing and in doing so creates artists and other young people who mimic a racist and authoritarian politics and are completely clueless about it...reported

Celebrity culture is the underside of the new illiteracy in America, the soft edge of fascism with its unbridled celebration of wealth, narcissism, and glamor. My comments on Emmitt Till in the beginning of my book, “Stormy Weather.

Katrina and the Politics of Disposability” point to a different use of memory, one that engages in moral witnessing and tries to prevent justice from dying in each of us, in the public sphere, and in our relations with others. It is worth repeating as a counter narrative to Lil Wayne’s complicity with the modes of lyrical fascism that now circulate in the media like a poisonous toxin.

What was left of Emmet Till arrived home in Chicago in September 1955. Determined to make visible the horribly mangled face and twisted body of the child as an expression of racial hatred and killing, Mamie Till, the boy’s mother, insisted that the coffin, interred at the A.A. Ranier Funeral Parlor in the South Side of Chicago, be left open for four long days.

While mainstream news organizations ignored the horrifying image, Jet magazine published an unedited photo of Till’s face taken while he lay in his coffin. Shaila Dawn points out that “[m]utilated is the word most often used to describe the face of Emmett Till after his body was hauled out of the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi. Inhuman is more like it: melted, bloated, missing an eye, swollen so large that its patch of wiry hair looks like that of a balding old man, not a handsome, brazen 14-year-old boy.” The Jet photos not only made visible the violent effects of the racial state; they also fuelled massive public anger, especially among blacks, and helped to launch the Civil Rights Movement.[1]

We live at a time when heroes of the civil rights generation such Rosa Parks, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Angela Davis are now replaced by business tycoons such as Lloyd Blankfein, Jamie Dimon, and Henry Paulson.

The older pioneers sacrificed in order to alleviate the suffering of others, while the new “celebrity heroes” of the media drawn from corporate culture live off the suffering of others. Celebrity culture is a cesspool of greed, over paid financial looters, and spineless media pundits who reproduce the market-driven and politically paralysing sexist and racist grammars of suffering, state violence, and disposability.

Maybe Lil Wayne should read about the history of the civil rights movement before he fashions lyrics that sound as if they were written by the racists that killed this young man. Maybe the American public should go further and ask what kind of country creates people like Lil Wayne and what can be done to create a formative culture that would stop this kind of racism and sexism in its tracks, rather than reward it.

Bryan adams photography exhibition 2013

Bryan adams photography exhibition 2013, He is undoubtedly an outstanding musician and composer. But that Bryan Adams is also a gifted photographer is not (as yet) widely known. In addition to his passion for music, his love of art—and of photography in particular—has grown over the past few decades. With the exhibition Bryan Adams – Exposed, the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf will show a comprehensive cross-section of the Canadian’s best works. This will be the first time this collections goes on display in Germany.

Bryan Adams has this to say about his photographic work: ‘I think if you always do the same thing every day, you can get tired of it. So if you change your scenario once in a while, and get back to what you were doing before, you see it in a fresh light.’

‘I took my first photos with a small camera that belonged to my parents,’ says Adams when asked about the genesis of his passion for photography. ‘The subjects of my first film, in the mid 1970s, were concert photos of the Beach Boys, parking lot walls, my girlfriend in the bathroom, my Mom, my piano, just everyday things, but exactly the things I could see around me.’ Over the years, the subjects of Adams’ photos changed. Numerous friends, celebrities, and super stars posed for him including Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Ben Kingsley, Mickey Rourke in the bathtub, or Dustin Hoffman wearing a suit and fishing in the sea. In 2002, on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s golden jubilee, he was selected to make a portrait of the queen. The resulting photo later appeared on a Canadian stamp.

Bryan Adams is certainly not the first musician to live out his creativity in the fine arts or in photography: people like Don van Vliet (aka Captain Beefheart), Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, or Bryan Ferry all spring to mind. As Sir Elton John points out in his foreword to the exhibition catalogue, the fact that Adams has direct access to many well-known personalities and icons of the music, film, and celebrity scene make his portraits highly intimate, intense studies, some of which are themselves photographic icons in their own right.

The exhibition includes about 150 of these impressive artists’ portraits and also a completely new series of work that is very dear to Bryan Adams’ heart: portraits of injured soldiers returning from tours of duty abroad. Bryan Adams has had the unique opportunity of photographing British servicemen who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and paid a heavy price. The images are raw and provocative and show that despite the appalling injuries of these soldiers, life goes on. Through the lens Adams tells the story of their extraordinary courage, defiance and humour. These modern day heroes celebrate their service and survival and demonstrate their incredible resolve in this startling series of portrait photographs. They are proud portraits of inspiring men who whilst not faltering have stood the test of war, and lived to tell the tale.

Bryan Adams is co-publisher of Zoo Magazine, a magazine for photography, which he founded in Berlin in 2004. In 2012, he was presented with the Lead Award for fashion story of the year for his portraits of the artist Hon Daphne Guiness. This is the second time that he has won this award.

Bryan Adams was born in Kingston/Ontario, Canada, on 5 November 1959. He is one of the most successful contemporary rock singers and composers with a string of No. 1 hits around the world to his name such as ‘Summer of ‘69’ and ‘Everything I Do, I Do It For You’. A tireless performer, he is on stage over 100 times a year. Bryan Adams lives in London.

Lior and Vardit Adler baby

Lior and Vardit Adler baby, First there was baby "Facebook" and now this: an Israeli couple has named their kid "Like." Let the Valley Girl jokes ensue.

The Israeli news source Galgalatz reports that Lior and Vardit Adler are the proud parents of a bouncing baby girl named after the Facebook Like button, which recently celebrated its first birthday.

Apparently, the parents were looking to call their daughter something unique. The moniker is not meant to be a gimmick, and they say that they're not shilling for Facebook. They just like (pun intended) the meaning behind the name.

The Adlers are hardly the first people to saddle their kid with a suspect name. One man offered to name his son Batman if he could get 500,000 people to become fans of his Facebook Page, and another couple named their child Facebook in honor of the role the social network played in the revolution in Egypt.

Granted, naming your child something unusual is not relegated to the realm of social media — apparently "Brooklyn" is an extremely popular name — but the name choice certainly is out there.

Baby named Like

Baby named Like, According to TMZ.com and People.com, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their newborn daughter North West.

Still no official confirmation via the Kardashians themselves, but they're known for their ability to manipulate the media and we're sure they'll make an announcement when they see fit.

For those somehow unaware, Kardashian gave birth to her daughter on Saturday; she has not been spotted in, or out, of the hospital since then, although friends have stopped by and Tweeted their well-wishes.

E! reports that Kim, Kanye and the baby — whose nickname is "Nori" — left the hospital "overnight Thursday" and are heading to "an undisclosed L.A. home."

But the family has stayed mostly silent about the birth, with matriarch Kris Jenner only commenting on the appearance of the child.

Splash News honcho Gary Morgan predicts that in about a month, we'll see the first photo of North West, who was born ahead of her due date. "We'll see a big magazine set-up, nice and glossy," he says.

UPDATE:

Things are looking more and more official in the moniker department. TMZ has posted an image of what it says is Baby North's birth certificate. And if legit, it looks like North is only headed West — that is, she has no middle name.

The document, filed in Los Angeles County, features only Kim's signature and reveals that her daughter was born at 5:34 a.m. on June 15.

Lori and Vardit Adler other kids named Pie and the Hebrew word for Honey

Lori and Vardit Adler other kids named Pie and the Hebrew word for Honey, In “The Seven” episode of Seinfeld, George tells his fiancée Susan that if they have a child – a boy or a girl – he’d like to name it “Seven,” after Mickey Mantle’s jersey number.

Now, in real life, Israeli couple Lior and Vardit Adler are taking after George and naming their new daughter with a quotidian word: “like.” The inspiration for the name comes from the “like” feature on Facebook, although the name is not intended to be an ad for the social networking site.

“We named her Like because it’s modern and innovative…I checked that the name does not exist elsewhere in the country; that was the main condition for me,” said Mr. Adler.

I wonder if the Adlers are familiar with Seinfeld, because their two other children also have unusual names, too. Because they like cooking, the couple named their other kids “Pie” and “Vash” (the Hebrew word for honey).

Not surprisingly, the Adlers announced the birth of their baby on Facebook.

“When I posted her picture and name on Facebook I got 40 ‘likes,’” Mr. Adler said. “Considering that I have only a little more than 100 friends on the network that’s a lot.”

I imagine that the initial reaction to a name like Like would entail skepticism and even distaste. However, if Seinfeld‘s social commentary and relevance to real life is as uncanny here as it is with many other episodes, maybe the name will catch on.

Kristen Bell daughter, Finally, baby Lincoln's debut! After welcoming their first child on March 28, Kristen Bell and fiance Dax Shepard were photographed for the first time stepping out with their baby girl on Thursday, May 30.

The new parents were spotted taking little Lincoln to a doctor's appointment together in Beverly Hills. Dad Shepard, 38, carried his adorable daughter

Bell, 32, following closely behind, showed off her post-baby body in tight skinny jeans and a blue polka-dot, button-up blouse. The busy mom had her arms full juggling a water bottle, handbag and phone, but looked stylish in tall wedge sandals and colorful shades.

The funny couple, engaged since 2009, announced Lincoln's birth to their fans on Twitter. "My new roommate poops her pants and doesn't pay rent . . . basically Dax Shepard pre-sobriety," the Veronica Mars actress joked. "Welcome baby Lincoln."

Since Lincoln's arrival, the family has been keeping a low profile. On April 5, Shepard made his first venture outside their house -- and it was quite the experience. "After 8 days at home with LBS, my afternoon trip to Costco felt like [a] late night rager at a strip club," the Parenthood actor joked on Twitter. "Buy in bulk party."
